![]() Distracted by this line of thought, the Mage was about to be attacked by a Kind Golem, but was saved by the Cleric, who took the blow for them. Despite all this, the Mage lamented about their quarrel, wondering if it would always be like this for them. The Mage's sudden shift in attitude made the Cleric get mad towards them as well, to the point that they both create trouble. Seeing the two made the Mage imagine a scenario where they get mocked by the two teammates for tripping on their feet, and that caused the Mage to get jealous and resent the Cleric. This bond got tested however when the Mage witnessed the Warrior giving a present to the Cleric. In "Camaraderie", the scenario showcased the start and development of the Mage and Cleric's close relationship through various moments they spent together. Later, when the party encountered the General, the Mage is seen listening to the Cleric's thoughts. Various happenings occur along the way, such as the Mage getting tripped up by the Cat, whose heart was dipped in darkness prior by an Imp. When the Princess's face got stolen, the party heads out on a journey to the Nightmare Tower and save her face from the General "Mii". In "Venture Forth", the Mage and the rest of the party head to Greenhorne Castle where they meet the King and Princess of Greenhorne. Their face, along with the Cleric and Cat's faces, all get stolen by the Dark Lord during the battle however, leaving the Warrior to fight him alone. In "Chosen Ones", the Mage is introduced with the rest of the party as they battle the Dark Lord. By default, they wear the Apprentice Robe, but the player may change it to either the Crossed-Heart Robe, the Clown Robe, or the Polka-Dot Robe. The Mage's preferred clothing is the Robe which raises its Defense, though amiibo clothing is an option. The Mage's weapon of choice is the Wand, which raises its Magic and Attack stats. Mages may also not do well against enemies that can resist Magic damage such as Fiends. The Mage is also not well-suited to dealing physical damage with its low Attack. The Mage may also buff itself with Barrier, which halves the damage taken after using the skill.ĭue to its low HP and Defense stats however, the Mage is vulnerable against strong physical attacks. It also comes with a few support skills such as Sleep Tight, which heals a teammate (albeit also inflicting the Sleep side effect on them), and Enlarge Weapon, which increases a teammate's basic attack by 1.5x. Most of its skills focus on dealing high Magic damage, and they can dish out either single-target attacks or all-target attacks.
